Those Girls Next Door

People in this small town think we're sisters, but we're actually a legally married gay couple fresh from NYC. The more you find out about us, the more you'll see that we really are just those girls next door!

House Projects

Even though we are finished with all major construction on our home, we still have many projects to do in and around the house. Our bedroom, for example, was once painted entirely turquoise, but is now tempered by a nice neutral. (We were brainwashed by Domino magazine when we painted the interior of our house, what can we say?!)

Additionally, our pantry was lacking some cabinets. They're coming--someday--but we didn't want to pressure S.'s dad. After all, he did rebuild the whole damn house for us! So, as a compromise that we though really fit with the style of our kitchen, we made some curtains out of black and white polka-dots. The rick-rack on the bottom is actually vintage, from S.'s mom. Cool, right? We think it really makes the room pop!

Mostly everything in there is vintage, except for our toaster, coffee maker, and iPod dock, of course!
